The Reuben R. Sallows Gallery is home to the largest public collection of this renowned photographer's work.
In the summer of 2002, the Maple Leaf Chapter IODE in Goderich, Ontario received a donation of over 200 photographic works from the Sallows Family. With the assistance of funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, The Reuben R. Sallows Gallery opened in the Spring of 2003.
The Gallery is located in the mezzanine of the Goderich Public Library, a remarkable Carnegie building built in 1905.
The mandate of The Gallery is to preserve, protect and conserve the artistic heritage within its collection. It celebrates the rich artistic legacy of Reuben R. Sallows and promotes the Canadian visual art that embodies his innovative talent and spirit.
The Reuben R. Sallows Gallery Committee is very pleased to work with the Huron County Library in bringing together the different collections featured in this online gallery.
